I specialize in hyper-realistic portraits, which I create with loving kindness and respectful appreciation. Intimacy grows between myself and my subject as I devote myself to rendering their unique likeness and conjuring their spiritual manifestation. 

 

Through attention to minute detail, I attempt to penetrate physical and psychological barriers that separate and divide us from one another. I prefer to remove background and distracting context, connecting as fully as possible with a unique individual. The rush of time and chaotic business of daily life divide us from one another. My portraiture unplugs, removing noise and clutter, allowing my audience the unique opportunity to be fully present quietly and intimately connected across time and space with another individual. 

 

As an artist with ADHD, I find peace in the creation process. I achieve a level of hyperfocus and serenity that I seldom discover in any other aspect of my life. Many of the things that happen around me are out of my control, but as I move my pencil or brush over each minute contour in the face, sketching pores, detailing lashes, and shading pupils, I feel a complete and total sense of agency and control. My subject and I are together, peaceful, in a world of our own creation.
